Train inside a real tattoo studio. Learn from working professionals. Build a real career.
The Ink Different Full Traditional Tattoo Artist Training Apprenticeship Program is a structured, in-person apprenticeship designed to develop aspiring artists into confident, professional tattoo artists. Unlike online-only education or self-taught routes, this program places you inside a functioning tattoo studio where you train side-by-side with experienced mentors, learn industry standards firsthand, and develop the technical and professional discipline required to succeed.
In an industry flooded with "fast-track" online courses and DIY kits, we take the path of the master. Our 18–24 month program is designed for the serious artist who wants more than just a certificate — they want a lifelong, profitable career.
Each phase includes performance evaluation to ensure readiness before advancing.
Our program follows the time-honored apprenticeship model while adding structured curriculum, skill progression checkpoints, and professional development training.
Students train in a real studio environment and learn:
Ink Different is a nationwide tattoo community dedicated to celebrating tattooing as an art, a career, and a culture. We bring together specialized brands — from our apprenticeship program to our studio network and even film & TV projects — all connected by a shared commitment to excellence.
We're not a single shop — Ink Different is the parent company behind Inked 4 Life Tattoos, a network of studios and artists across the country. This way, we can back our artists and clients while keeping quality the same no matter where you go.
Ink Different is made up of a few different branches, each with its own focus:
Put together, it's a complete tattoo community — learning, creating, and sharing stories.
Ink Different serves three primary audiences:
Each group is supported through a dedicated Ink Different brand.
We team up in lots of ways depending on what you're looking for. Artists, studios, media folks, and brand partners can collaborate through our different brands — or just reach out to Ink Different directly to chat about working together.
